We, Lebanon, will not forget 4 August 2020.
An apocalyptic explosion that killed, crippled and injured so many.
That destroyed homes, offices, cars, businesses.
That shattered our hearts and lives into pieces!

We, Lebanon, will not forget the victims of corruption and negligence.
In memory of the victims and in respect for us all, struggling survivors, we adopt the wheat as a symbol of resurrection, the dead grains that grew into life on the field of death at Beirut Port.

And may 4 August 2021 mark the start of a new dawn for our beloved fractured country.
